Certificates must be proved and transmitted to the recipient.
The IKS CA send an e-mail to the owner of a new certificate how he can
retrieve his certificate data.
All other people can look for
a certain person or machine or use there software to check a certificate
presened by an other party. Most webbrowsers support this.
If a private key was compromised, the user is urged to revoke his
certificates to unbind the public key from his person. So please check every
certificate directly before using the public key for an important transaction.
