Request a certificate

In order to request a certificate, generate a "Certificate Request". Please send this request to ca@iks-jena.de. If you are using the Netscape Commerce Server, enter this e-mail address as the CA name, so the Commerce Server will send the required e-mail automagically.

Such "Certificate Request"s occur, i.E. if you install a new secure web server or SSL server.

Netscape client certificate

Client certificates for Netscape Navigator are always assumed to require the low security level, because this software is unable to arithmetically check the more secure certificates.

Entries not matching your needs or you do not like to fill are not always necessary to be filled. The script will request you for more information, if necessary.
